105 km/h at a speed limit of 40

On Friday evening, August 8th, residents of Ligota witnessed a situation that served as a reminder of just how dangerous reckless driving can be. Traffic officers from the Trzebnica police station stopped an Audi for inspection. The driver had completely ignored traffic regulations and was speeding recklessly through the town.
It turned out that a 35-year-old resident of our district accelerated his car to 105 km/h in a 40 km/h zone. This wasn't simply inattention – the speed limit was almost three times higher than the posted limit, and his actions could have ended tragically.
A police check of his details revealed that the man had previously broken traffic laws and was now acting under recidivism. This means penalties will double if the driver speeds again within two years.
The consequences were severe: a 5,000 PLN fine, 15 penalty points, and the loss of his driving license for the next three months. Officers remind drivers that such incidents aren't just a number – every reckless act on the road poses a real threat to the lives and health of other road users.
