PSV-Ajax ends all square, late AZ penalty denies Feyenoord win

PSV and Ajax shared the spoils in the first heavyweight clash of the Eredivisie season in Eindhoven, as a late goal by Oscar Gloukh denied the home side the win their enterprising play deserved.

Mohamed Ihattaren's 15th-minute goal was enough for Fortuna Sittard to claim the points against Utrecht and move above their opponents into sixth place.

Milan Smit scored twice in the last 10 minutes to earn Go Ahead Eagles the win in the IJssel derby against PEC Zwolle, who were reduced to 10 men after just 90 seconds when Jamiro Monteiro was shown a red card for a dangerous high kick.

Another late goal decided the battle of the promoted clubs as Lewis Schouten's header gave Excelsior a 2-1 win at Volendam , while Heerenveen survived a second-half fightback by NEC to record their first win of the season.
