Griekspoor drops place on world rankings, Ruud rises sharply


Tallon Griekspoor has dropped one place on the world rankings. The best tennis player of the Netherlands is now on the 35th position of the global tennis ladder. Griekspoor was eliminated in the second round of the masters tournament of Madrid by the eventual finalist Jack Draper from Great Britain.
Botic van de Zandschulp rose three places and is now 85th. Jesper de Jong remained in 93rd position.
Draper took over fifth place on the ATP rankings from Serbian Novak Djokovic after reaching the final in Madrid. Casper Ruud, who won the Madrid tournament, rose eight places. The Norwegian is now seventh on the list headed by Jannik Sinner. The Italian's doping suspension expired on 5 May.
