Ayuso with strong UAE Team Emirates team to Giro

Cyclist Juan Ayuso will be joined by a strong team at UAE Team Emirates in the Giro d'Italia. The 22-year-old Spaniard will be the leader in the absence of world champion Tadej Pogacar, who won the Giro d'Italia last year.
Ayuso will be assisted by Mexican Isaac del Toro, Pole Rafal Majka, American Brandon McNulty, Australian Jay Vine, Briton Adam Yates, Spaniard Igor Arrieta and Italian Filippo Baroncini.
Ayuso has already won five times this season, including a stage and the general classification of the Tirreno-Adriatico. Del Toro was the best in Milan-Turin, Vine won a stage in the Tour de Romandie last week and Yates won the Tour of Oman.
"The competition for the general classification is strong, especially with Primoz Roglic, but we are ready for the fight," Ayuso looks ahead. "I think we have the strongest team in the Giro, and I feel that is our greatest strength."
The Giro d'Italia starts on May 9 in Durrës in Albania
