KLM ground crew strikes: 119 flights cancelled and 69 delayed on Wednesday

The canceled flights include 110 flights within Europe and nine intercontinental flights, according to an airline spokesperson.
On its website , KLM reports that flights are affected by the strike. The strike may also affect flights on the days before and after, according to KLM. So far, no flights have been rescheduled to the following day, according to the spokesperson.
On September 10 and 17, KLM also had to cancel dozens of flights due to ground staff strikes. On those days, staff working at the airport, such as loading and unloading baggage, towing aircraft, and assisting travelers, stopped working for two and four hours, respectively.
Ground crew not happyNext Wednesday, they will do so for six hours, from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The FNV and CNV unions have also called a strike for next week. Some ground staff will then stop work from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, for eight hours.
The FNV and CNV trade unions are "not satisfied" with a collective labor agreement the airline recently reached with three other unions. According to the KLM spokesperson, KLM is not formally in talks with the unions. She says KLM signed an agreement a few weeks ago with three unions that together represent the majority of unionized employees. She adds that the FNV and CNV have been invited to join that agreement.
