KLM is forced to cancel flights again on Wednesday due to a ground crew strike. This time, 119 flights are affected, an airline spokesperson reported. The FNV and CNV trade unions have announced a work stoppage from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. because they are angry that KLM has reached a collective bargaining agreement with three other unions. This is the third consecutive Wednesday that ground crew have gone on strike.

The vast majority of these flights are to European destinations. The spokesperson also reports that 70 flights will have a different departure time later in the day. It is not yet known how many passengers will be affected by the flight schedule adjustments.

Ground staff, for example, load and unload luggage, tow aircraft, or assist passengers. For the past two weeks, KLM ground staff also went on strike on Wednesdays. This also led to the cancellation of numerous flights, affecting thousands of passengers.

The FNV and CNV unions have announced an eight-hour work stoppage for next Wednesday.
