Women's Basketball: San José celebrated a victory against Chañares in the National League

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL. San José added another victory in the National League, defeating Chañares 67-60. Star player: Lorena Da Silva with 19 points and 14 rebounds.

The Brazilian was the standout player of the game, supported by the American who recorded 17 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 6 steals, and a +22 efficiency rating.

The first quarter was extremely close , with both teams trading baskets from the start and neither gaining a significant advantage. The quarter went to Santo 14-12 . The parity continued in the second period, but towards the end, the Santander team managed to pull ahead by seven points (30-23), with McCalla leading the way with 12 points.

The beginning of the third quarter was key to the game, with San José coming out of halftime with a vengeance, going on an 8-0 run and opening up a 15-point lead (38-23). For the remainder of the game, the strategy was to manage that advantage . San José couldn't extend their lead and focused on protecting it. With five minutes remaining, Chañares managed to close the gap to eight points, but seven points from Da Silva (including a three-pointer) restored the home team's composure.
Towards the end, the Cordoba team closed the gap again , but with no time left, the game finished 67-60 in favor of the Mendoza team. Now, San José will travel to Cordoba to face Bochas (November 16) and Gorriones (November 17).
