Which matches will TV Azteca broadcast for the 2026 World Cup?

After months of speculation, TV Azteca officially confirmed that it will broadcast the 2026 World Cup and that its iconic duo, Christian Martinoli and Luis García , will lead the tournament coverage.
During an event held at the network's facilities, it was revealed that Azteca Deportes will broadcast 32 matches live and free of charge , including all of the Mexican National Team's matches, the Final, and some knockout rounds. This represents almost a third of the 104 games that will be played in the first 48-team World Cup, hosted by Mexico, the United States, and Canada.
“Many voices said we wouldn’t be here, but we’re still here. In 2026 we’ll experience our eighth World Cup together,” commented Martinoli, accompanied by García and other commentators such as Jorge Campos.
The television network also announced its guest analysts , including former soccer players Iker Casillas, Jorge Valdano, David Medrano, Inés Sainz and Carlos Guerrero, who will contribute their experience to the most comprehensive coverage the network has prepared.
With this confirmation, TV Azteca extends a tradition of more than three decades broadcasting World Cups —eight in total under its current name— and is preparing to offer unprecedented coverage in 2026.
