Barcelona thrashes Italian side Como 5-0

Barcelona closed out their preseason with a 5-0 thrashing of Como, Italy, in a match they wrapped up in the first 45 minutes.
Fermín López and Lamine Yamal, with two goals each, were the standouts; Raphinha also scored.
The team coached by German Hansi Flick displayed the same effectiveness and pressing that characterized them last season, while also incorporating new elements into their formation. Goalkeepers Joan García and Marcus Rashford made their debuts as starters, while Polish Robert Lewandowski and Dani Olmo did not play in the match.
The match, played at the Johan Cruyff Stadium, where the reserve and women's teams regularly play, served to gauge the fans' relationship with Marc-André Ter Stegen following the conflict, which occurred without incident.
With this victory, the Catalan side reached 20 goals in its four friendly matches and declared itself ready for the start of the 2025-26 season, when it faces Mallorca away from home next Saturday.
In the team presentation before the match, Ter Stegen stated that it was "time to look forward," after resolving his conflict with the club.
"I think it was important to resolve the issue with the club, and now it's time to look forward," the goalkeeper said.
He also welcomed Joan García, Marcus Rashford, and Roony Bardghji. “We want to welcome the new faces and obviously give my support in every situation we may encounter. I think we're going to be better, we're going to be stronger, and I'm sure they'll fit in very well with this dressing room,” he added.
He also thanked the coaching staff for "the great work they've done" and recalled that last season "gave us back a successful game, and we really enjoyed it."
Flick, for his part, thanked the fans for their support: "In the new season, we will work hard and without excuses. We want to win many matches and many titles."— EFE
