Atlas unveils its reinforcements amid uncertainty over its sale

Amidst the uncertainty following the official announcement of its sale by Grupo Orlegi, Club Atlas presented its five reinforcements for the 2025 Apertura tournament and the Leagues this Thursday. Cup : Alfonso González, Gustavo Ferrareis, Róber Pier, Jorge Rodríguez and César Ramos.
The presentation took place at the AGA Academy facilities and was led by the club's president, Aníbal Fájer, who was accompanied by head coach Gonzalo Pineda and the five new players. Despite the institutional context, the event focused on strengthening the team's athleticism.
"Today, it's a different Atlas, with its infrastructure, with its commitment to the future by developing talent. It has a home in the Jalisco Stadium that generates a very special magic, and whoever arrives will have to take responsibility for those dreams and those fans," said Fájer, who also called for unity and trust in the club's essence, without going into details about the sale.
"The fans own these colors and this iconic team. It's a heritage of Guadalajara and of all those who identify with La Fiel. This team belongs to its people, and there are those of us who have the opportunity to manage it at certain times," he added.
For his part, coach Gonzalo Pineda remained calm about the uncertain managerial landscape . “Nothing changes for me. I've been used to living with uncertainty since I was a player. I take it day by day; the important thing is that the group of players and I want to achieve good results,” he commented.
With this roster renewal, Atlas is looking to consolidate its position as a protagonist in both tournaments . The first step has already been taken, after the Zorros debuted with a victory in the 2025 Apertura, beating Puebla 3-2 on the road. Now, the team is preparing for its home game this Saturday at the Coloso de la Calzada Independencia, where they will host Cruz Azul in Matchday 2 of the championship.
