Polsat Plus Group is significantly increasing its green energy production. It will soon launch its largest wind farm.

In the second quarter of 2025, Polsat Plus Group revenues increased by 3.9% year-on-year to nearly PLN 3.6 billion, and adjusted EBITDA amounted to PLN 823.8 million, compared to PLN 843.9 million a year earlier.
Polsat Plus Group ended the second quarter of 2025 with a net profit of PLN 112.9 million, which represents a 23% decrease compared to the second quarter of 2024.
Free cash flow for the last 12 months, adjusted for CAPEX in the green energy segment, remains at a high level of over PLN 1 billion.
Financing up to PLN 953 million for the Drzeżewo wind farm"We recorded strong financial results, in line with market expectations. The Group's revenue increased by nearly 4% to PLN 3.6 billion, and adjusted EBITDA was stable at PLN 824 million. The green energy segment generated PLN 66 million in EBITDA in the second quarter and PLN 123 million in the first half of the year," says Katarzyna Ostap-Tomann, Management Board Member for Finance and ESG at Cyfrowy Polsat and Vice President of Finance at Polkomtel, a Polsat Plus Group company.
"Despite high interest costs, the Group has a high cash-generating capacity. We have CAPEX under control, and we recently secured project financing totaling PLN 953 million for the Drzeżewo wind farm, the construction of which is successfully nearing completion," adds Katarzyna Ostap-Tomann.
The Polsat Plus Group's financial priorities for the second half of 2025 remain effective investment management, strict cost control and maximization of revenues from the sale of green energy.
In the green energy segment, Polsat Plus Group recorded dynamic growth in energy production thanks to the expansion of wind generation capacity. In the second quarter of 2025, it produced 314 GWh of green energy (including 111 GWh from wind, 29 GWh from solar, and 175 GWh from biomass) – an increase of 41% year-on-year.
Energy production from renewable energy sources is growing, and EBITDA is also growingIn the first half of the year, the Group's energy production from renewable sources amounted to 592 GWh (of which 216 GWh from wind, 44 GWh from solar and 332 GWh from biomass) – also 41% more year-on-year.
The Group achieved high EBITDA profit in this segment – PLN 66 million in the second quarter and PLN 123 million in the first half of 2025.
"Our newest and largest wind farm in Drzeżewo, with a capacity of 139 MW, will soon double our installed wind capacity . Construction is nearing completion. All 63 turbines are installed, and 51 are already producing test electricity. This segment is significantly supporting the Group's financial results – in the first half of the year, it generated PLN 123 million in EBITDA. The new farm, whose full commercial launch is planned for the fourth quarter of 2025, will translate into stronger EBITDA in subsequent periods," says Maciej Stec, Vice President of Strategy at Polsat Plus Group.
