The Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU) explained on its website that Bizum "has taken a further step" and will allow payments to other countries near Spain after reaching agreements with similar platforms in Andorra, Portugal, and Italy , "which will allow money to be sent to people with bank accounts in other European countries."

The organization explains that thanks to these agreements, " it will be possible to send money to people with bank accounts in other European countries ," a very useful tool for citizens who have financial relationships with people who have banks in these territories.

For now, OCU reports, it's already possible to send Bizum payments to people with banks in Andorra, while Portugal and Italy will be the next countries. The organization expects this to be implemented before this summer , so there's not much time left until it becomes possible.

To use Bizum and send money to bank accounts in European countries, you must meet a series of requirements and follow a series of steps. These are the standard ones in effect in Spain:

• You can only send money if you are registered with Bizum and to someone who is also registered in the system.
• You need to know the person's phone number and enter it correctly.
• You must indicate the amount you wish to pay.
