Juan Grabois, Cristina and Máximo Kirchner's candidate, and the "outsider" woman everyone wants.

Peronism reached a difficult agreement in the province of Buenos Aires, a territory where it can still flex its muscles, despite having lost every parliamentary election since 2009. Distrust is and will remain absolute between the Kirchnerist, Kicillofist, and Massist factions, but at least they managed to form an alliance. This alliance was filed in court with the requirement that it must have the signatures of three representatives, one from each party, certifying the legality of each act or list formation, from the deputies to the lowest municipal level.
Cristina Elisabet Kirchner follows every move from her confinement in the apartment at 1111 San José Street in the Constitución neighborhood, with directives to her son; conversations with Sergio Tomás Massa; and indirect messages to Governor Axel Kicillof, who has lost all the political affection he once had for her. Today, he is considered an "outsider," and the former president has ordered unity to be maintained, but she hasn't forgiven him for not having the slogan "Free Cristina" as a mantra in the Buenos Aires governor's language.
Therefore, the closing of the legislative elections on September 7th was achieved with difficulty, with no names yet defined for the fight to renew 46 deputies and 23 senators in the provincial legislature , as well as deliberative councilors and school counselors distributed across the 135 municipalities of Buenos Aires.
The Province is divided into eight electoral sections, with senators elected in the First, Fourth, Fifth, and Seventh; and representatives elected in the Second, Third, Sixth, and Eighth. The main focus is on the Third and First districts, where the election will be focused, given the importance of these districts.
But the Peronist negotiations have included an eye on the October elections, where Argentina's largest province will renew its national representatives. There, the Kirchnerist party has a name that has earned the endorsement of both Cristina and Máximo Kirchner: Juan Grabois.

The lawyer and political leader who founded the Union of Workers of the Popular Economy (UTEP) and the Frente Patria Grande (Great Homeland Front) appeals to the Kirchners for several reasons: his tough language and his uncompromising defense of CFK in legal matters. It's worth remembering that, along with Eduardo Valdés, he was one of the two lawyers who accompanied the former president the first time she had to appear before the federal courts in Comodoro Py after her second term ended, on April 13, 2016.
Furthermore, the possible candidacy of the hardline leader for deputy would demonstrate a "purity" of discourse that would protect his own vote, and to which the Kirchnerist party speaks at every meeting , whether at San José 1111 or at the events in Lezama Park, all related to the claim of "innocent Cristina."
But this potential nomination would seriously upset both Axel Kicillof and Sergio Massa. The governor is proposing a central focus on the word "Future," as evidenced by the formation of his group called the "Right to the Future Movement." And it would put the Tigre governor in a difficult position, as he was already his internal rival in the 2023 presidential race and because it would alienate potential voters that Massa still retains from the "wide middle avenue." Cristina Kirchner continues to focus on those she values in her political organization. An example of her current affection is the dedication and time she devotes to Mayra Mendoza, the mayor of Quilmes, whom she would like to push for the Buenos Aires governorship , a task that currently appears difficult given the young mayor's tough and confrontational stance.
In any case, an incident that occurred before the former head of state's arrest shows how concerned she has been about her protégé's fate. As reported some time ago in this column, the rise in the media spotlight of television host Mariana Brey was surprising, as she moved from the world of entertainment to appearing on political panels, even engaging in discussions with seasoned polemicists like former K-12 official Guillermo Moreno.
Brey's professional rise was such that she was considered in polls, and in the ranks of the Libertarian Party and the PRO party, she was considered a candidate for the Quilmes mayoralty, which raised concerns in the Kirchnerist camp.
But aware of the power of the species, Cristina herself wanted to meet Mariana Brey and find out what she thought, whether she dreamed of a political career, and in which district she might make her leap into the political arena. Those close to the former President say she was surprised by the strong personality of the beautiful host of the program "Indomables."
All political sectors are now thinking of an "outsider," and Brey is viewed favorably even by Javier Milei's political backers, who has already given an exclusive interview to the young woman, who appears to have a political future in the complex national scene. Hard to tame...

Meanwhile, the closing of the PRO with La Libertad Avanza in the province of Buenos Aires was difficult for the party created by Mauricio Macri because the magnifying glass was focused until the last minute on the fate and agreement of the mayors Soledad Martínez (Vicente López), Pablo Petrecca (Junín), María José Gentile (9 de Julio) and Javier Martínez (Pergamino) , who were the most related to the influence of the former President of Cambiemos.
While Soledad Martínez finally managed to empathize with the libertarian from her area, Juan Palomino , the one who has been the furthest from that agreement is Javier Martínez: the one from Pergamino looks fondly on the Passaglia family , since the brothers Santiago and Manuel govern San Nicolás and did not agree with that yellow-violet group and formed the "HECHOS" force, which showed itself to be distant both from the agreement with the Mileísmo and from the Kirchnerism that they always harshly criticized.
But beyond the closure of the "La Libertad Avanza" front, which Sebastián Pareja established with Diego Santilli, Guillermo Montenegro, and Cristian Ritondo , there are still 10 more days of agony and decisions to come until the lists have all their names and surnames.
Several miles away, Mauricio Macri didn't stay up late and learned about the PRO's decisions regarding La Libertad Avanza from the most exclusive seats at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, watching the semifinal between Chelsea and Fluminense. Smiling next to him was Ronaldo , the former Brazilian striker for Real Madrid and the Green and Yellow National Team. Political VAR...
