Mexico opens registration for El Buen Fin to businesses

The Mexican government and the private sector inaugurated registration for the 2025 edition of El Buen Fin this Monday, September 8, which will celebrate its 15th anniversary, with the goal of surpassing last year's sales and approaching 200 billion pesos.
The main campaign of discounts and promotions to encourage domestic consumption, similar to Black Friday, It will be held this year from November 13 to 17 and aims to exceed the 172.9 billion pesos of the last edition.
During the ceremony at the Ministry of Economy, the head of the Competitiveness Unit, Enrique Salomón Rosas, stated that the central objective is to "promote shared prosperity" while strengthening national identity through the integration of the Made in Mexico brand.
The Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco) announced a nationwide effort to ensure that discounts are genuine and prevent misleading advertising, according to Deputy Attorney General Rebeca Olivia Sánchez.
Representing the industrial sector, Alejandro Malagón, president of the Confederation of Industrial Chambers (Concamin), stated that El Buen Fin "is a business effort with a social impact" and urged consumers to choose products with the Made in Mexico label.
"It's not just about making a purchase, but about addressing a need, improving daily life, and reaffirming the confidence that together we can always do it," he said.
For his part, Octavio de la Torre, leader of the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services, and Tourism (Concanaco Servytur), emphasized that the program "has survived various administrations and circumstances, consolidating itself as Mexico's great commercial celebration and the most important in history."
"It's a celebration that showcases consumer confidence, technological innovation, national talent, and, above all, the strength of family businesses, which are the heart of our economy," he added.
At the time, the National Association of Self-Service and Department Stores (Antad) detailed that, In each edition, more than 50 million customers visit its establishments during the five days of promotions.
At the same time, the Tax Administration Service (SAT) announced that this year's traditional Buen Fin raffle will distribute 500 million pesos to participating cardholders and merchants.
Mexico City's Secretary of Economic Development, Manola Zavala, said the event "is the best way to celebrate the economy," while her counterpart from the State of Mexico, Laura González, called on small and medium-sized businesses to register for free on the official website.
Sergio Silva, Minister of Economic Development and Growth, closed the event, stating that El Buen Fin "will give us the push in the last quarter of the year to deliver much better accounts than we imagined we would," with more than 1,290 registrations confirmed in the first few hours.
