Claudia Sheinbaum: Mexico will invest $8.177 billion in new electricity transmission lines.

MEXICO CITY.- This Thursday, during her customary "People's Conference", the president of Mexico , Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo , reported that the Government of Mexico will make an investment of 8,177 million dollars in the next five years to build 275 new strategic lines in the national transmission network, which is part of the strengthening and expansion of the national electrical system 2025 .

For her part, Luz Elena González Escobar , Secretary of Energy , explained that the plan will focus on transmission, the construction of electrical substations and electrical compensators for greater electrical distribution reach.
Currently, he said, Mexico has more than 111,000 kilometers of transmission network throughout the country and more than 1,300 electrical substations , but with the new investment, a circuit of 6,735 kilometers of new strategic lines and 524 new electrical substations will be built.
