In addition to the alleged extortion complaints filed by business owners in the La Laguna region of the states of Durango and Coahuila, the Autonomous Confederation of Workers and Employees of Mexico (CATEM) has filed criminal charges in other states such as Oaxaca, Veracruz, and Querétaro.
