Checo Pérez has reportedly already signed with Cadillac

Guadalajara-born driver Sergio "Checo" Pérez has reportedly reached a multi-year agreement with Cadillac to return to F1, and the agreement will be announced in the coming days, according to information released by specialist journalist José Antonio Cortés.
According to the journalist's publication, Pérez's manager , Khalil Beschir was an essential part of this negotiation, considering Cadillac to be a great option due to the solidity of the project.
The Mexican driver began his F1 career in 2011 with the Sauber team; he later continued with four other teams: McLaren, Force India, Racing Point, and Red Bull, remaining in F1 for 14 seasons in total. He left Red Bull at the end of the 2024 season, after the team terminated his contract.
According to the information, the Guadalajara native would be alongside Finnish driver Valtteri Bottas , who would be his teammate.
It's worth noting that there's still no official confirmation from either the team or Pérez . But this could change in the coming hours.
During this time, Checo has focused on his personal projects and spending time with his family, as seen on his social media.
On the other hand, if they join, all teams will start from scratch with the change in rules and regulations that will take place in 2026.
