Barcelona defeats Liga MX Femenil's all-star team on penalties

Spanish club Barcelona defeated the Liga MX Femenil all-star team 4-3 on penalties , after drawing 2-2 in regulation time on Friday in a match called " Duel of the Stars " played at the Estadio Universitario de Nuevo León, home of Tigres and the Amazonas.
The match was about to begin when both teams and the refereeing team had to return to the locker room due to a thunderstorm.

The game started after a delay of one hour and 50 minutes , still under heavy rain, but without lightning.
At minute 18, Charlyn Corral , star forward of the Liga MX Femenil, had to leave the field with a head injury after an accidental brush with defender María León .

In an instant response, in the 29th minute, Barcelona found the 1-1 with an own goal by Jamaican defender Deneisha Blackwood , a Cruz Azul defender, under pressure from Norwegian attacker Caroline Graham.
In the 50th minute, Spanish forward Claudia Pina hit the right post of the Mexican goal with a cross. The lead came moments later when Barça midfielder Aitana Bonmatí made it 2-1 for the Catalan side with a half-turn shot in the box in the 57th minute.

Spanish midfielder Irene Guerrero , a midfielder for Club América, tied the Liga MX Femenil 2-2 with a cross shot from outside the area in the 81st minute.
With the score tied at the end of regular time, a penalty shootout was chosen to determine the winning team.
Alicia Cervantes , Ruth Bravo , and Diana García scored for Liga MX; Carolina Jaramillo and Victoria Ceceña missed.
Alexia Putellas , Claudia Pina , Marta Torrejón and Aitana Bonmatí were on target for Barcelona.
On Sunday, Barcelona will have another warm-up match in Mexico against América at 12:00 p.m. at the Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes in the Mexican capital.
