Armed attacks in Mexico City leave a man and a woman dead outside restaurants.

Two violent incidents marked the afternoon of Thursday, July 3rd, when an armed attack on a woman and a man was reported in the same Gustavo A. Madero borough of Mexico City , almost simultaneously, and both could be direct assaults.

At approximately 6:00 p.m., a woman was shot by individuals riding a motorcycle outside the " Toks " restaurant located in the Torres Lindavista shopping plaza, according to the Mexico City Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC).

Unofficial reports indicate that it is a woman between 25 and 30 years old , whose body was found lying on Miguel Othón de Mendizábal Avenue , in front of the entrance to the branch of the famous restaurant chain.

SSC officers arrived at the scene, cordoned off the area, and conducted initial investigations into the incident, which appeared to be a direct incident.

#SSC personnel learned of a 36-year-old woman who lost her life as a result of a direct assault with firearm shots, on Miguel Othón de Mendizábal Avenue, in the #NuevaVallejo neighborhood, in the @TuAlcaldiaGAM municipality.

However, reporters have reported that she is allegedly the leader of a criminal group , whose husband was murdered a year ago , and who was shot at least five times , ruling out that she is the victim of assault or aggression.

In what was another incident, a man was shot dead in front of a bakery in the Guadalupe-Tepeyac neighborhood, also in the Gustavo A. Madero borough.

The victim is believed to be a 45-year-old man who was injured on Calzada de Guadalupe and Avenida Noe . Paramedics from the Emergency Medical Rescue Squad (ERUM) responded to the scene. However , he no longer had a pulse.

As in the previous case, this was allegedly an attack by people on a motorcycle. One of the occupants got off the vehicle, approached the victim , and fired shots before fleeing.

The victim's relatives say he is an employee of the bakery from which he had left.

The capital's police are investigating whether the two murders are related, given the circumstances surrounding the events , which occurred minutes apart.
