MÉRIDA, YUC.- A large ranch known as "Tierra de Osos," approximately 40 hectares in size, is located along the Motul–Telchac Puerto highway in Yucatán, between the municipalities of Ucí and Telchac. This property belongs to Senator Jorge Carlos Ramírez Marín , former head of the Ministry of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development (Sedatu) during the Enrique Peña Nieto administration (2012-2015) and now a member of the Fourth Transformation.

These lands were reportedly acquired between 2007 and 2012, during the state administration of Ivonne Ortega (2007-2012), then governor of Yucatán.

Furthermore, it is detailed that in 2014, the senator's son, Guillermo Jacobo Ramírez Granados, received around 400,000 square meters of land, when he was just 19 years old, four months before his father left Sedatu.

The ranch is not only expansive in area but also in infrastructure . According to a 2021 report by Sol Yucatán, the property features cattle, ATVs, dining rooms with capacity for around 40 people, swimming pools of various sizes, and ostentatious furnishings.

Journalist Lourdes Mendoza, a contributor to El Financiero, made the issue public on social media, pointing out that the ranch was an expansion of the former villa of singer-songwriter Armando Manzanero, and that it grew considerably during Peña Nieto's administration.

In his tweet, Mendoza even criticized the senator with comments like , "He went from living in a low-income housing project to a country club," questioning the ethical consistency of a publicly compromised official. With information from El Financiero and Sol Yucatán
