'El Cachorro' and 13 other CJNG arms traffickers arrested

The Navy arrested Héctor Agustín "N" alias "El Cachorro" and 15 alleged arms traffickers linked to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).

The above was announced by the head of the SSPC , Omar García Harfuch, on his X account (@OHarfuch) , in which he detailed that the Security Cabinet carried out 16 searches in Jalisco, Nayarit and the State of Mexico.

"Where 14 people were arrested, 10 of them with arrest warrants for organized crime involving arms stockpiling and trafficking. Among those arrested is Héctor Agustín 'N', alias 'Cachorro,' identified as the leader of a criminal cell dedicated to the purchase and sale of weapons, as well as supplying weapons to various factions of said criminal group," the federal official posted.

The detainees and their charges are as follows:

  1. Héctor Agustín "N" alias "Cachorro" , CJNG plaza boss and leader of the dismantled cell, dedicated to trafficking and modifying weapons, as well as supplying other Cartel cells.
  2. Luis Diego "N" main financial operator of the structure
  3. Adily Paola "N", financial operator
  4. Bernardo Enrique "N" , in charge of the logistics structure
  5. Javier Othón "N" , alias "Jalisquillo" , dedicated to the purchase and sale of weapons for distribution
  6. Héctor Alejandro "N" , in charge of modifying and manufacturing weapon parts
  7. Kevin Darío "N" , dedicated to the purchase and sale of weapons
  8. Salvador "N" , in charge of distributing and modifying weapons
  9. Santiago de Jesús "N" , weapons retailer in Nayarit
  10. Fernando Israel "N" , dedicated to the purchase and sale of weapons for distribution

In addition, Lilia "N", Ramón Alonso "N", Andrea "N", and Rogelio "N" were arrested during the searches; all of them were guarding warehouses with weapons.

"Therefore, the detained individuals, along with the seized materials, were placed at the disposal of the corresponding Public Ministry agent, who will determine their legal status. For this purpose, they were supported in their transfer and custody by members of the Secretariat of Security and Peace of the State of Guanajuato," the SSPC detailed.
