'Art and Collecting in Rome', the exhibition at Palazzo Barberini

The exhibition returns to the Capital antiques 'Art and Collectibles in Rome': from 18th to 23rd September at Palazzo Barberini, home of the National Galleries of Ancient Art, five days of events and 63 selected exhibitors among the most important Italian and international galleries. Organized by the Association of Italian Antique Dealers, the the event is confirmed, after the success of the first 2023 edition, as a cultural and commercial event of international calibre, with the aim of positioning Rome at the top of the European antiques scene. The exhibition will offer to scholars, collectors and enthusiasts unpublished and never seen works seen before and the opportunity for a comparison in the sector after the government measure that reduced the VAT rate from 22 5% on sales and imports of works of art in Italy. The 63 exhibitors, coming from Italian galleries and international top-level artists, will present high-level works historical and artistic value in a setting conceived as a a true cultural salon, where the value of comparison, of research and knowledge will be at the heart of the journey exhibition. Alongside painting and sculpture, ample space will be given also dedicated to the decorative arts, as a testimony to the prestigious Italian antiques tradition. A packed programme of events will frame the exhibition until the opening at public from 20th to 23rd September, from 11am to 7.30pm. The the 18th and 19th will be reserved for inaugural events and industry operators. "The exhibition - concludes Botticelli - is held alongside the prestigious Florence Biennale and It is based on small chests in which each antique dealer will display the works of the masters, decorative art objects, sculptures, paintings and design works, which follow and at the same time direct the taste of today".
