Pisa, 1 July 2025 - The third event of the year for the TP52 Alkedo powered by Vitamina begins tomorrow: the crew captained by helmsman Andrea Lacorte , in the water for the Yacht Club Repubblica Marinara di Pisa with the support of sponsor Cetilar, a brand of the pharmaceutical company PharmaNutra, will be busy until Sunday in Cascais, Portugal, in the Rolex TP52 World Championship, the key event of the season valid as a world championship for the class. Fresh from excellent performances in the first two stages of the 52 Super Series circuit, Alkedo powered by Vitamina, the only Italian boat racing, aims to confirm its position in Portugal in the main event of 2025, with a highly coveted world title in competitive sailing up for grabs. Six days of sailing are scheduled for the eleven TP52s present, representing nine nations: today, in fact, the “practice race” was scheduled, then from tomorrow to Sunday two races per day, for a maximum total of 10 races. On board Alkedo powered by Vitamina, currently third in the overall standings of the 52 Super Series in what is its debut season on the circuit, the helmsman Andrea Lacorte with the New Zealander Cameron Appleton as tactician , the Portuguese Alvaro Marinho in the role of strategist, the team manager Matteo De Luca at the bow, Alberto Bolzan, Nicolò Sanfelici, Stefano Ciampalini, Dave Armitage, Massimo Gherarducci, Chris Brittle, Giovanni Bucarelli, Arancia Malaspina, Luke Molloy and Pablo Torrado. "We are coming to this world championship - assures Lacorte - with the right energy, which comes from the performances at the beginning of the season, but at the same time with the full awareness that it will be a difficult championship from the first to the last test, to be faced at 100% of our potential. Cascais is a very demanding regatta course, the level of the other crews is as always very high and on this occasion everyone will give something extra, given that the title is at stake: it will be up to us to be able to express the best of ourselves, to stay at the level that up to now has allowed us to have fun and bring home excellent results".
