Poll: A clear majority of Italians favor the Strait of Messina Bridge. A success for Salvini.

A clear, absolute majority of Italians, equal to 62.4%, favors the construction of the Messina Strait Bridge . Only 37.6% of those interviewed oppose the project. This is the key finding of the survey conducted for Affaritaliani by Roberto Baldassari, director general of the opinion polling institute Lab21. An unequivocal success for Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, and League Party Secretary Matteo Salvini .
A success, also driven by the summer season, particularly August, with its long lines for ferries between Calabria and Sicily and vice versa, silences the opposition and even some environmental groups, always opposed to any project and to the country's progress , as well as many newspapers, a priori anti-Salvini. The survey then analyzes the pros and cons of building the bridge between Calabria and Sicily, as can be seen in the table below.
Regarding voting intentions, among the parties, Fratelli d'Italia is stable at above 30%, the League is over 9%, clearly ahead of Forza Italia . The Democratic Party is stable at 20%, AVS is also stagnant, while the Five Star Movement continues to grow, reaching 12.3%. Action continues to outperform Italia Viva.
