Tronchetti Provera (Ambienta): 25 hires in the last 12 months, sustainability is a driver of growth


Over the past year, Ambienta SGR , a leading European asset manager and pioneer in investments focused on environmental sustainability, has expanded its team by hiring 25 new professionals across its offices.
With over 100 employees globally, Ambienta has doubled in size over the past four years, cementing its position as a pan-European leader in sustainability-driven investing . The company has strengthened its presence in key geographies, with particularly significant growth in London, as well as strategic additions to its Milan and Paris offices.
The Private Equity team has expanded with a series of new hires. Yann Bak has joined the Paris office as a Partner dedicated to the small-cap strategy, which raised over €500 million in June 2025. Previously, he was a Partner at Ardian, where he led the Impact & Climate Solutions strategy. Also in the small-cap strategy, Giacomo Forti joins as a Partner , after 12 years at Ardian, and Francesco Sogaro as a Senior Advisor , after serving as Managing Director at Neuberger Berman in Milan. The investment team has been strengthened with the arrival of Sara Mattei Gentili (formerly of Partners Group) as Investment Manager , four new Associates – Justine Nahum, Lorenzo Gherardi, Silvia Cacciapuoti, and Garima Agrawal – and Sara Carazza as Analyst .
The Public Markets division has also been significantly strengthened with the arrival of Alex Rowe as Senior Portfolio Manager . Alex will lead the team focusing on sustainable investments in listed companies, broadening the firm's expertise in one of its three core asset classes. Previously, he managed Nomura's sustainable funds. Also joining the team is Sam Livingstone , the new Head of Risk and Quantitative Strategies , with extensive experience in senior buy-side roles, most recently as Head of Data Science and Data Engineering at Jupiter Asset Management. Vaibhav Arya also joined the team as Investment Analyst at the end of last year. These appointments follow the division's expansion begun last year with the arrival of Magnus Spence , Head of Public Markets .
The Investor Relations team has been expanded with the arrival in London of Quinn Kuiken (former Managing Director of Oaktree Capital) and Gregory Jones (former Head of Investor Relations of LeapFrog Investments) both as Principals , and in Milan, with the arrival of Tommaso Bulli as Principal from Tikehau Capital, and Silvia Magni as Sales Manager dedicated to Public Markets from Invesco.
The Sustainability & Strategy team has been strengthened with the arrival of Charlotte Hermes , from Kraft Heinz, Stefano Bergami , from McKinsey & Company, as Manager , as well as Armando Aversario, Nicholas Tenci and Federico Freddi as Analyst .
Finally, the growth in corporate functions continued with the appointment of Lisa Foltran as Chief Financial Officer . With over 15 years of experience in financial services and senior leadership roles at Allianz Group, Lisa will lead administrative and control activities, supporting the next phase of institutional growth. Lisa will report to Daniele Gatti , who has been with Ambienta for 13 years, whose recent promotion to Chief Operating Officer has expanded his responsibilities to include operations across all asset classes.
These appointments demonstrate Ambienta's ongoing commitment to strengthening its talent pool and its ability to attract world-class professionals in an increasingly competitive market. Alongside expanding its resources, Ambienta continues to invest in youth training through its Annual Internship Program and remains at the forefront of promoting gender diversity, consistently maintaining a female representation of over 40%.
