Palermo (Acea): “The water transition will be the most relevant”

"Acea is an infrastructure company that operates in complex sectors, particularly water, which is currently undergoing a major transition. In the future, the water transition will perhaps be even more relevant than the energy transition in recent years."

This was stated by the CEO of the Acea group, Fabrizio Palermo, on the occasion of the awarding of the 2025 Guido Carli Prize.

"I believe that a company like Acea has an important role in promoting this transition in our country," he added, explaining how the group has "focused much of its work on human capital, signing one of the first protocols on the person, also with the union, and promoting a whole series of initiatives, inside and outside the company, in this sense."

Palermo received, together with 12 other Made in Italy excellences, the Guido Carli award, now in its sixteenth edition, and given to prominent figures in the economy, cinema, music, but also to figures with a strong social commitment. Receiving this award is "first and foremost an honor, a tribute above all to the values ​​on which I have centered my professional career: the creation of value in companies, the impact on the community, always putting people at the center", he declared.
