With 953 million euros in revenues, 2.011 billion in indirect impacts and 1.479 billion in induced effects, in 2024 the Nestlé group in Italy generated 4.4 billion euros of shared value. More or less, 0.2% of the national GDP. The data have just been released by the Swiss group, which commissioned an ad hoc study to Althesys. For every euro generated in the production phase, 3.3 correspond to the Italian economic system. The company has also calculated that its tax contribution to the Italian State is 1.4 billion euros. As for employment, the multinational estimates that for each of its employees, 11 jobs are indirectly generated in our country in related industries, for a total of 60 thousand employees, equal to 0.22% of those employed in Italy in 2024. The group contributes to providing a total of 1.3 billion euros in gross wages and contributions in the supply chain, an increase of 6% compared to 2022.

Nestlé operates in 187 countries with more than 2 thousand global and local brands. It has been present in Italy for over 110 years with a portfolio of over 90 brands, from Meritene supplements to S.Pellegrino water, from Purina pet food to Nespresso coffee, from Perugina chocolate to Nidina powdered milk.
