Infrastructure: Sacile Arena will be the jewel in the city's crown

“As a Region, we are happy to support projects that, in addition to promoting the ability of local companies to create excellent products, encourage inclusion in paths full of opportunities such as that of Pordenone, Italian Capital of Culture 2027. The new Arena in Sacile will be made available to an area that makes music a flagship and will enrich the urban heritage of the city”. This was stated by the regional councillor for Infrastructure and Territory Cristina Amirante, who yesterday evening in Sacile participated in the presentation of the Arena “Musicae” project, the structure that will be built with regional funds (works scheduled to end in mid-June 2025) to host concerts and musical events in view of Pordenone, Italian Capital of Culture 2027.
The meeting took place in the showroom of the Itlas company, specialized in the wood-furniture sector and responsible for the construction of the Arena. Amirante brought greetings from the governor Massimiliano Fedriga, the vice-governor with responsibility for Culture Mario Anzil and the councilor for Productive Activities Sergio Emidio Bini, who supported the launch of the project and the future organization of cultural events. The arena will be built from scratch in native wood and will also bear the name of “Sound Pavilion”. Its plan will in fact recall the shape of a piano, thus underlining the importance of this instrument for Sacile, where a thriving and complex system of cultural and musical production is located. The use of wood will allow the construction of an acoustic chamber ideal for the performers and the public.
The intervention is linked to the artistic project “Armoniosi Loci”, already the holder of funding obtained from the Region for the realization of musical and cultural activities in the Arena. The program of events and shows to be held in the Arena/Music Pavilion can already count on the partnership involving the Municipalities of Sacile and Tarvisio, chosen to test different types of “harmonic dialogue” between music, sound “place” and urban or naturalistic “place”. A calendar of 10-15 events is planned for each location, mainly dedicated to music, but also accompanied by other artistic proposals intended for children and families. As the councilor highlighted, “the innovativeness of the architectural project is accompanied by the dynamism of the cultural initiatives connected to it. A bridge between different areas of our region capable of uniting culture and landscape”.
