"Friuli Venezia Giulia confirms itself as one of the best performing regions at a national level in the implementation of the ERDF 2021-2027 regional programme, demonstrating a concrete capacity to effectively use European resources to support territorial development, economic growth, social cohesion and employment. This is demonstrated by the six model projects of the "Progetti Europa 27" programme, for a total value of over 43 million euros, which represent the vision and the capacity to build the future of our region together".

This was stated by the regional Finance Councillor, Barbara Zilli, this morning in Pordenone, speaking at the beginning of the meeting of the sixth Supervisory Committee of the Pr Fesr, dedicated to investments in favour of employment and growth. During the meeting, the updated data on the implementation of the programme were illustrated, which highlight a very positive performance of the Region. In particular, the six operations of strategic importance identified by the Programme called “Progetti Europa 27” (for a total of over 43 million) and the projects linked to evaluation and communication (investments for over one million) that have developed in the last year were presented. The six flagship projects concern the various research and development negotiation plans – in collaboration between the public and private sectors – in the field of maritime technologies (for 5.3 million), the new “zero emission” school building in Gorizia (19.5 million), the anti-seismic and energy requalification of Terrazza a Mare in Lignano Sabbiadoro (5.9 million), the regeneration project of cultural sites for active citizenship called AreaArea Dance Library (200 thousand euros), the requalification of the Transalpina square in the municipalities of Gorizia and Nova Gorica for Go!2025 (4.2 million) and the local development strategies of the Internal Areas (8 million).

“The success of these interventions – the councilor reiterated – demonstrates not only the ability of our Region to intercept and effectively use European funds, but also the far-sighted vision with which we are building the future of Friuli Venezia Giulia. We will continue on this path with determination, aware that every euro invested must generate value for the community”. “Our goal – added the representative of the regional Executive – is to strengthen the competitiveness of Friuli Venezia Giulia and create new employment opportunities”. Zilli, after thanking the participants in the projects also for the actions undertaken in the last year with excellent results in terms of information, communication and visibility, wanted to underline how “these results are the fruit of teamwork between the regional administration, economic-social partnership and the system of local authorities. A synergy – the councilor assured – that we will continue to cultivate to fully seize the opportunities offered by European funds”.
