Banca Generali, an upgrade for transparency from ISS


The assessment highlights an improvement of nearly 10 points for excellence in governance, corporate, and business ethics. Sustainable investments, corporate ethics, and employee relations are at the forefront .
Banca Generali has been promoted for its transparency and focus on sustainability. The ISS rating agency , a leading global rater and proxy advisor, has upgraded the private bank to a C rating with PRIME status, placing us in the top decile .
The assessment highlights an improvement of almost 10 points, recognizing an excellent level of transparency and excellence in Governance, Corporate and Business Ethics, and an improvement in both the Social and Environmental areas.
What are the reasons for this upgrade? Regarding sustainable investments, the rating improvement is due to greater integration of ESG criteria into responsible investment processes, such as engagement with issuers. Regarding corporate ethics, the upgrade is due to "strengthening of its Internal Code of Conduct, robust compliance procedures, anti-corruption training, and a structured whistleblowing system." Reference is also made to employee relations and improved work-life balance policies, attention to mental health, and flexible working arrangements.
It should not be forgotten that this year the bank's Board of Directors approved the first Climate Transition Plan , with medium and long-term objectives, the DE&I Guidelines were implemented and the responsible investment policies were strengthened.
