End of year show in Baronissi: parents win

Finally, the performance will take place . After weeks of uncertainty, postponements and protests, the long-awaited confirmation has arrived: this afternoon the students of the music department of the Istituto Autonomia 82 in Baronissi will take the stage for the traditional end-of-year performance .

A heartfelt event that, for over twenty years , has represented an unmissable appointment for the complex and for the entire school community.

The story took an unexpected turn at the end of May , when a few hours before the scheduled date of the show , a circular from the school principal announced its postponement for safety reasons related to the school premises .

The news had left parents, teachers and students stunned , already prepared for the final performance. The official reason - organizational and accessibility problems - did not convince the families , who immediately started a strong mobilization , also through social networks .

Many have asked for formal clarifications , even going so far as to write to the Regional School Office , asking for transparency not only on the usability of the premises used for the play, but of the entire school building.

The situation also involved the Municipality of Baronissi , in particular the Education Councillor Peppe Giordano , who took part in the meetings between the school management, teaching staff and parent representatives .

Among the solutions hypothesized during the discussions there was also the possibility of moving the show to the council chamber of Palazzo di Città , in order not to give up the event.
