'The March of the Sun' is back. A Sunday for the brave

On Sunday the 45th edition of the ' Marcia del Solleone ', in Montegiorgio , the organizing staff has finalized the program of the Marcia, which represents a tradition rooted in the local community and an unmissable point of reference for running enthusiasts. In memory of Luigi Marinucci, Luciano Vita, Mariano Scoccia and Orazio Belleggia, the ' Podistica Avis - Mobilificio Lattanzi ' of Montegiorgio continues to roll up its sleeves to leave nothing to chance and guarantee a unique and rewarding experience for all participants.

This year, the event reaches an important milestone, the 45th edition , confirming its popularity. Piazza Matteotti in the historic center of Montegiorgio will welcome the start for both distances on Sunday, June 29th with a meeting at 8 am and departure at 9 am: 10.1 competitive kilometers and 3.5 non-competitive kilometers, ideal for those who want to enjoy the race in a relaxed context.

There is a rich prize pool: for the first three overall men and women, for the first three men and three women residents of Montegiorgio, for the first five in each category men and women between 35 and 60 years old, for the first three in each category men and women both under 34 years old and over 60, as well as regional and extra-regional groups with a minimum of five participants.

In collaboration with the Archeoclub Montegiorgio section, guests who do not participate in the march will also be offered a free guided tour of the city.
