“Schools in Sicily must keep their doors closed”: the Ministry has decided | Children must stay at home with their parents

Now the Ministry has communicated it and is certain of the decision that has been taken, schools in Sicily must remain closed.
In the Sicily region a real case has broken out, involving both students and parents. Both sides are wondering what is happening, what is changing within the school and why these institutions will remain closed, putting everyone in great difficulty.
School is probably the most loved and hated of institutions , the one that should guide our kids towards a maturity and preparation that will be important in the real world. But despite its being decisive on the future of young people, it is often subjected to a series of criticisms and concerns by families and not only.
This time the discussion would have opened in front of what will be days of fire, in which the kids will be forced to stay at home.
Considering the great difficulty with which every parent organizes their days in order to best manage work commitments and their children, school closures are a crucial issue.
Schools closed: chaos in Italian familiesSummer vacation has officially begun for all the kids who go to school. From elementary school to high school, all the young people are now at home and some have even finished their final exams . What does this mean? Especially for parents who have rather young children, it means creating a series of interlockings so that they can dedicate themselves to all the activities and commitments. Some choose summer camps for their children, to be able to keep them busy for at least half a day, certainly an expense, impossible to face for some, but very useful for everyone else.
Unfortunately, we must admit that the absence of school, as sacrosanct as it is for the rest of our children, creates quite a few difficulties for Italian families, with particular attention to those who have no one to help them. Despite this, scenes of children in pajamas in front of the TV, parents on the phone with employers trying to fit in the various schedules, are very common. In short, scenes of truly ordinary madness and what if we had to face an extra vacation?

You don't even have time to finish a school year before you immediately start thinking about the next one. Schools will be closed, yes, but only on the days set out in the school calendar, which indicates precisely what the opening and closing days of all Italian schools will be. Depending on the region in which you live, something could change, such as the start of the 2025 2026 school year. We can say, however, that around September 15, many Italian kids will have returned to school. During the year there will also be various holidays.
After the start of the school year, we drag on until November 1st, which this year grants few joys as it falls on a Saturday, then December 8th or Monday, after which there will be the Christmas holidays which are expected to go from Monday December 22nd to Wednesday January 7th. After the Christmas holidays we drag on until Easter, which next year will fall on April 5th, so presumably the holidays will begin on April 2nd and end on April 8th followed by the 25th also on a Saturday; a year stingy with long weekends. The only long weekend is May 1st and then June 2nd which will fall on Friday and Tuesday respectively.
