Monegasque rider Íñigo López de la Osa Franco is aiming for Valkenswaard after a series of competitions in the Netherlands

After competing in the prestigious Monte Carlo leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour, Íñigo López de la Osa Franco moved to the Netherlands , where he has been undergoing an intense training period for about a month in preparation for the next leg of the tour, scheduled for August 22-24 at the Tops International Arena in Valkenswaard. During these weeks of work, the Monegasque rider participated in three international competitions held in the same arena, testing his current form and enriching his technical journey with new experiences. This includes a new horse in competition, Perle van't Ongereet.

One of the most important stages of the calendar

Among the most significant results of this preparation period, there is this fourth place in the CSI4* two-phase event (1.45 m) at the Summer Festival 2 Summer Showcase. Then a thirteenth place in the CSI4* two-phase event (1.45 m) with Porsche. And finally a 26th place in the prestigious CSI4 Longines Grand Prix* (1.55 m) with Nascar.

This period of work in the Netherlands has a special resonance for Íñigo, who has close ties to the Dutch territory, where he spent a key stage of his athletic training alongside Olympic legend Piet Raijmakers, and where he is currently continuing his studies at the Eindhoven University of Technology. The Valkenswaard stage will therefore have a strong symbolic value, both on a sporting and personal level. The work carried out over the last month represents a targeted investment to best approach one of the most important stages of the international calendar.
