Ice hockey - Magnus League. Chamonix makes it four in a row, Briançon struggles... results from Matchday 15

Here are all the results from the 15th day of Ligue Magnus this Monday, before the last two matches on Tuesday.
Candid defensively in the second period, Briançon couldn't close the gap despite a dominant third period. By winning 5-2 this Monday at René-Froger, Nice ended a six-game losing streak. This broken streak doesn't bode well for the Red Devils…
After Persson opened the scoring early, McKinney responded immediately on the power play for Nice. The first period, perfectly balanced, ended in a tie, a true reflection of the play from both sides. But the turning point came in the second period, dominated by Nice, who were able to stretch the ice and exploit the weaknesses of a too-permissive Briançon defense. Too often giving away odd-man rushes, the Devils watched as Morillon, Loizeau, and then Nogaretto extended the lead, giving the Eagles a comfortable advantage. For Briançon, only Hugo Cal, just 18 years old, managed to put the puck in the back of the Nice net in his first appearance in the red jersey.
Despite dominating the third period and even hitting the crossbar with a late shot from Dame Malka, the Hautes-Alpes team couldn't overcome their deficit despite commendable efforts. Larinmaa even scored a last-gasp goal into an empty net for the Azuréens at the buzzer.
Briançon will travel to Cergy-Pontoise on Friday for a high-stakes bottom-of-the-table clash.
