Drake bet $300,000 on Sinner winning the US Open, so the Italian will lose

The US Open is coming to an end, and for the final Grand Slam tournament, almost only the best remain, including Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, and especially Jannik Sinner, world number 1. Winner of Wimbledon, but beaten at Roland Garros in a crazy match, Italy has been very solid since the start of the tournament and is naturally positioned as one of the favorites.
But a stone has been thrown into the Italian's shoe with a bet from the famous rapper, Drake. Indeed, the Canadian revealed on his social media the ticket for his sports bet: $300,000 for the Italian's final victory. A low-risk choice may seem to some with odds of 1.69, but this bet could still earn him $507,000, or €435,000, and thus make a profit of $207,000 (Editor's note: around €177,000).
Except that Drake, even though he has won a lot of money through his bets, he has lost so much that we talk about the "Drake curse." Drake has already lost $115,000 on tennis and several million on the rest of his bets, which earned him this phrase. The latter has reportedly lost $8.2 million (around €7.2 million) since the beginning. "I also have to show the other side of betting...", Drake wrote on Instagram last June, with a screenshot of his monthly summary as a caption. "The losses are really hurting right now," he said without really detailing his bets, even if we can mention his failure on the Jake Paul - Mike Tyson fight (he had bet on the boxing legend). A good opportunity to point out that gambling can be dangerous and that if an addiction develops quickly, it is necessary to talk about it...
