Beaten 2-0, Nice misses out in Rennes

Kalimuendo opened the scoring from close range for Rennes (1-0, 15'). But Nice had the opportunity to come back soon after. Mendy hit the post with a header, Guessand failed in his one-on-one with Samba and Bouanani saw his left-footed shot deflected by the Rennes goalkeeper.

A second goal was then disallowed by the Var for the Bretons following a foul on Boudaoui in the box (35').
