It has been known since last May that LVMH plans to open a huge Louis Vuitton flagship in 2029 on Rodeo Drive, the most luxurious artery in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles. This 9,300 m² flagship, designed by architect Frank Gehry, to whom Bernard Arnault had already entrusted the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris (16th arrondissement), should allow the brand to consolidate its commercial strategy in the United States, the territory where it is most established with 121 points of sale (compared to 28 in France). The immense boutique will be complemented by an exhibition gallery, a restaurant, and a café, the design of which was entrusted to interior designer Peter Marino. The brand's first project, which called for the construction of a Cheval Blanc palace, was rejected by the local urban planning commission.
