Strike on September 10 and 18: What are the transport unions planning?

As the two days of mobilization announced against the government's budget savings plans approach, on September 10 by a movement launched on social networks and on September 18 by the inter-union , an overview of the positions recorded in the transport unions by the AFP.
• Aviation sectorThe SNCTA, the majority union of French air traffic controllers, is calling for a strike on Thursday, September 18. It is calling for a "full adjustment to inflation" in wages, as well as changes in the profession's governance.
Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot responded to this call by stating that he would not give in. The SNCTA regretted on Tuesday that no conciliation meeting, even though it is provided for by law, had been scheduled so far. The union said it was ready to "resuming constructive social dialogue."

For its part, SUD Aérien is calling for a strike and blockade of airports on September 10, joining the national movement against austerity.
The National Union of Airline Pilots (SNPL), the leading union in the profession, however, told AFP on Wednesday that it would not call for a strike on either September 10 or 18.
At Air France, FO, the group's leading union, called on its members on Tuesday to join the movement on the 18th to "fight austerity" and filed "a strike notice of 1 to 24 hours" for that day. The CFDT of the Air France group, the second representative organization, is on the same line, calling "for a one-day strike on the 18th," explained its general secretary Christophe Dewatine on Wednesday, with staff being, according to him, particularly opposed to the elimination of public holidays, which are often worked in the airline industry, and therefore synonymous with increased pay. The CGT Air France union, for its part, is planning a strike call for September 10 and 18.
