He succeeds Alain Defils: Thomas Gheerbrant appointed new general director of Nicexpo

Thomas Gheerbrant, 55, took up his duties as general director of this association, which organizes the Nice Fair, on August 18. He succeeds Alain Defils, who took over in 2017 from Paul Obadia, who had flown the flag for this Nice institution for a quarter of a century.
The announcement of this appointment was made this Wednesday, August 20, by Marc Ippolito, President of Nicexpo.
"Since its creation in 1935, Nicexpo has based its actions on a clear mission: to support the economic and social development of our region through the organization of unifying events such as the Nice Fair, Agecotel, Bionazur and Bâtir ," recalls Marc Ippolito. Aware of this heritage and this founding mission, Mr. Thomas Gheerbrant will be committed to defending the interests of our region, contributing to its influence and further strengthening Nicexpo's role as a catalyst for exchange, innovation and development," continues the president of this Nice institution.
“Participate in the development of the territory”After a career spanning nearly 25 years in communications, media and events, Thomas Gheerbrant spent more than ten years as a business leader.
The man who describes himself as a "citizen actor" intends, through his new functions, to continue to "participate in the development of the territory" .
