Grasse to double the size of its Maison du Commerce

A space dedicated to traders and artisans, designed to support them in their development, the Maison du Commerce welcomes and guides project leaders who wish to set up in Grasse, informs traders on the steps to take to open a store, monitors the change of premises and promotes the establishment of new businesses... But for a few weeks now, the services of the Maison du Commerce have been relocated to Place Etienne-Roustan, at the Maison du projet.
Indeed, work has just begun on the renovation of its premises. The Maison du Commerce will be completely redeveloped, and its surface area doubled. An investment of €314,362.43, with the target delivery date set for the first quarter of 2026. The project involves developing an existing space within the convention center on the ground floor and mezzanine levels.
Redevelopment of its facade and its storefrontThe space will be designed to include a presentation desk with display panels, displays, a communication screen and a waiting area; two workstations for welcoming the public on the ground floor; two workstations and a non-fixed workstation for the elected representative for commerce; a meeting room (maximum 10 people); a storage space; a sanitary area; a small private space for staff (cloakroom, dining area). The renovation of the heating and air conditioning system, the improvement of the lighting and the requalification of the facade and its frontage in order to correctly identify the place are also on the agenda.
"It will retain its function as a place of life for our partners since the regional chamber of social and solidarity economy businesses (CRESS06) and the Grasse Economic Federation (FEG) will continue to have their headquarters there. [...] Traders, artisans and entrepreneurs will now have a place that meets their expectations, a real support point," concluded the mayor, Jérôme Viaud.
