At the Restos du Coeur, donations from the property wealth tax are exclusively intended for the 101 integration projects, including 44 gardens, which have a dual purpose: supporting people towards a professional future and meeting the Restos' fruit and vegetable needs.
The purple garlic is ready to be picked. The peas and broad beans are almost ready. Further along, between two plots, the flowers of a nashi pear tree have bloomed, giving a bucolic feel to this immense vegetable garden. In Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone in Hérault, the Jardin du cœur, created twenty years ago by the Restos du cœur on land loaned by the town hall, is slowly being invaded by spring, under the gaze and the pickaxes of some fifteen employees in integration programs.
