Nineteen Provençal talents at the Espace Saint-Nazaire in Sanary

At the Espace Saint-Nazaire, nineteen artists are presenting their beautiful and unique visions of Provence until September 28. This is the 4th exhibition in Saint-Nazaire organized by the Imagiers Provençaux, an association that brings together Var painters and sculptors, professionals and enlightened amateurs... And is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year! It has recently been chaired by Rear Admiral Pierre-Jean Rémy, himself an artist and exhibitor, and is driven by "a passion for art and a taste for sharing and transmission."
1935, 1st Salon of Provençal Image Makers in ToulonFrom the first room, we are struck by the quality of the works, but also by their extreme diversity. Pierre-Jean welcomed the high standards of the artists "with different sensibilities but united by their love of Provence, which they sublimate with their unique vision" . Two new recruits have joined the association: Dominique Marti, painter and ceramist, and Diana Khamzina, "a painter from Ousbèke but deeply Provençal!" , who paints with the same warm and expressive touches the Two Brothers, lavender fields and alleys of old Toulon.
Talents to discoverVisitors will go from discovery to discovery with the graphically rendered fishermen of Henry-Pierre Ruotolo, the dancing olive trees of Jean-Yves Templier, the delicate watercolors of Jacques Salles or the Japanese-style pines of Patricia Vasseur. Alex Géraudie immerses us in a Saint-Eloi festival that is more real than life, between a sumptuous harbor of Toulon and a beach of La Verne with magnificent colors.
Talents expressed through all sorts of techniques, wash and oil for the mysterious undergrowth and radiant countryside of Renaud Jobin, pastel for the secret gardens of Roselyne Lecocq, watercolor for the dazzling seascapes of Véra Raybaut, or mixed techniques like the superb landscapes of Jean-Pierre Dubois, declined with the same happiness on canvas or ceramic. We perceive the strong personality of these artists, like Paul Cèze with his sacred pencil stroke for his lavender cutters and his expressionist Siesta , or Paul Jouan and his striking landscapes in fragmented bands! And with reasonable prices, you should not miss these superb visions of Provence!
