At the Châteaux of Bruzac, medieval cuisine is in the spotlight

Between the explanations of Jean-Pierre Pouxviel, the owner of the place and correspondent for "DL", we had the opportunity to taste several typical dishes of the medieval era, and more specifically of the 15th century. A unique tasting, which will not be part of future visits. Before the first tasting, Jean-Pierre Pouxviel's wife, Sonia Pouxviel, gave us explanations on the eating habits of the time, whether for nobles or peasants. "Only the nobles ate at the table," she explained. "The lords ate a lot of fish and birds, and put a lot of spices in their dishes. Food from the land was mostly consumed by the peasants."
