Weather: these departments where storms will rumble tomorrow

More thunderstorms to come. While the weather is generally forecast to be sunny across most of France this weekend, thunderstorms are expected to continue hitting southern regions tomorrow.
Today, a line of thunderstorms developed between Gironde and Aveyron before heading towards the Pyrenees. More scattered and less intense showers also affected the Southern Alps. Elsewhere in the southern half as well as in the northwest, the weather remained largely sunny , with the exception of a few clouds from the North Sea which settled over the northeast quarter this morning, and which persisted locally in the afternoon, particularly in Nord-Pas-de-Calais.
Tomorrow, on the margins of the depression "Inès" positioned over southern Italy, the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region will be exposed to a risk of thunderstorms, which could locally reach the coast in the late afternoon. Violent thunderstorms will break out between the Alps and Provence , with a much greater intensity than the daytime thunderstorms observed earlier in the week. Rainfall could locally reach 50 millimeters under the most intense storm cells.
Generous sunshine over ⅔ of the countryThe rest of the country will maintain calm weather under the influence of anticyclonic conditions , with generous sunshine and temperatures rising slightly in the north, but falling relatively in the south.
Temperatures will generally range from 6 to 13°C in the morning, and from 13 to 15°C in the far south. In the afternoon, they will reach 14°C along the English Channel to 22°C at the Loire, and from 22 to 26°C in the south with 26°C in Montpellier.
As for the weekend , it looks set to be pleasant with sunny weather across most of the country. Temperatures will, however, be mixed: the cool weather will persist along the Channel due to the north wind, while milder weather will prevail in the south, with even a peak of heat expected on Sunday afternoon in the southwest. This calm, spring-like weather is expected to continue until the beginning of next week.
