A dozen people evacuated, what we know about the spectacular fire in an apartment in Nice

At 3 p.m. this Sunday, firefighters responded to a widespread house fire on the fourth floor of a seven-story building on Avenue Valentiny in Nice Nord.
The fire was extremely violent and impressive. The violent flames licked the facade.

According to the firefighters, five people were brought to safety using hoists. Twelve people were evacuated. The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) was on the scene.
A firefighter, victim of "heat exhaustion", according to the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service, was taken into care but "without any indication of seriousness".
A second firefighter, who suffered minor burns, was treated and taken to the emergency room at Pasteur 2 Hospital.
