Every year, thousands of retirees eagerly await the start of the Imserso season to enjoy a well-deserved vacation with the different Imserso travel options. This program has become a benchmark among Spain's senior population, offering them the chance to visit many corners of the country at fairly affordable prices.
This year will be no exception. Starting today , July 1st, and continuing through Wednesday, July 23rd, the Institute for the Elderly and Social Services opens the application period for the 2025-2026 edition. This season, there are 879,213 places available, of which 7,500 will have a reduced rate of €50, aimed at those receiving the lowest pensions.

How to apply for a place in the ImsersoThose applying for a place on Imserso trips for the first time can do so online through the Imserso Electronic Office or download the application form and submit it to an Imserso office or send it in a prepaid envelope to the following address: Imserso Tourism Program, PO Box 10140, 28080 Madrid.
Those who have already participated in previous editions will receive a letter detailing all their information and preferences at their registered addresses. If everything is correct, they don't need to do anything. However, if they wish to make any changes, they must do so before July 23rd.
The first trips will be available starting in October 2025. The program will be extended until June 2026 to cover the low tourist season in many parts of the country. As every year, the offer is divided into three main sections that respond to the different tastes and needs of retirees.
First, trips to the Iberian Peninsula coast allow you to visit destinations such as Andalusia, Catalonia, the Valencian Community, and the Region of Murcia for stays ranging from 8 to 10 days. Then there's the island coast, with the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands , for stays of 8 to 10 days. And finally, short breaks of 4 to 6 days (cultural tours, nature tourism, provincial capitals, and Ceuta or Melilla).
Prices vary depending on the destination chosen, the length of the trip, the season, and whether transportation is included. They range from €132.91 to €564.72 . Stays include accommodation, full board, and recreational activities. This year, there will also be a flat rate of €50 for people with financial resources equal to or less than the amount of their non-contributory retirement or disability pension.
