Hernán Bermúdez Requena will be transferred to Mexico where he will be tried: Sheinbaum

MEXICO CITY (apro).- A plane from the Attorney General's Office is in Colombia with the detained Hernán Bermúdez Requena, Secretary of Security for Adán Augusto López in Tabasco, and "at some point he will leave for Mexico to carry out his trial here," President Claudia Sheinbaum announced.

During her press conference at the National Palace, Sheinbaum insisted that she would only testify if current Morena senator Adán Augusto López is implicated in the investigations, and now, the president says, it was former President López Obrador who requested her removal from the Tabasco government.

He also denied that Security Secretary Omar García Harfuch went to Paraguay to bring Bermúdez Requena, and for that reason, he was not present at the events celebrating the 215th anniversary of Mexico's Independence.
