The red and white fans generated a huge turnout at the Estadio Victoria , outnumbering the home fans, so that when Fernando Gago's name was heard on the local sound system, the Necaxa coach was heavily booed.
Similarly, during the first minutes of the match, Guadalajara fans began shouting at the Necaxa bench , at their former coach, making themselves felt in their first meeting with the Argentine coach.
Guadalajara fans still can't forgive the Argentine coach for the way he left Chivas to return to his home country and fulfill his dream of managing his beloved club: Boca Juniors.
“Chicote” Calderón also received boosUpon his return to the Aguascalientes team after his successful spell with América, Cristian Calderón was severely booed by the Chivas fans upon hearing his name played on the local radio.
Although Calderón is one of the most beloved players by Necaxa fans after his outstanding performance in the 2019 Clausura and Apertura tournaments, the Guadalajara fans took over during the player's presentation , so, like his coach, he was harshly booed.
