The 'bad' websites that Spain blocks: the government has a blacklist of websites on the Internet and you can now see it.

The Spanish government, through the Ministry of Culture, has published for the first time a list of all the websites that have been blocked for copyright infringement . This measure also seeks to increase transparency regarding how digital piracy is combated in Spain .

For more than ten years, the country's authorities have had the legal authority to block access to websites that offer TV series, movies, books, or music without the permission of their creators or distributors. However, until now, this information was not public, but with this new list, anyone can see which websites are blocked .

The list, published in PDF format by the Ministry of Culture, includes more than 330 web domains blocked between 2012 and 2024. Among the blocked sites are :

On the other hand, when users attempt to access a blocked website, a new warning system appears informing them that the website has been blocked for disseminating unauthorized content. Furthermore, the warning message, hosted on the domain "bloqueadaseccionsegunda.cultura.gob.es ," is visible to any user who wishes to know the format.

One of the main effects is to provide greater transparency . From now on, any user can directly check which web domains are blocked in Spain ( click here ) and the year in which they were blocked.
